Licensed Producers

While Health Canada oversees the licensing of cannabis producers in Canada, the AGLC is responsible for the wholesale and distribution of retail cannabis products.

They ensure the online system and licensed private retailers meet the regulatory rules for cannabis and buy product from federally licensed producers. Connect Logistics is responsible for distribution to licensed private retailers and to the public through the online store on behalf of the AGLC. The distribution system is like what Alberta has for liquor with no preferential distribution based on location.
